I remember the day so clearly. It was just before I was about to start primary school. Me and my mother were walking out of the grocery store and I said to her, “mama, I am a big girl now, can I choose my own clothing.”

That was the day I realized I had a big love for dressing up.

I made terrible fashion mistakes while I was growing up. Sometimes when I think about my past fashionista I feel ashamed, but those moments were part of my molding. In those mistakes I learned what worked and what didn’t.

I am a self-taught fashionista.
