Life is exciting and inspiring

Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling but start. Start and don’t stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just start. – Anonymous

I am finding myself at the brink of great change in my life, yet again. After a few failed attempts at creating an income source for my business, after hitting rock bottom, for the second time this year, I decided to be more curious about my life, my business and its possibilities.

I am starting with doubt and with shaking hands. You see I have been doubting myself and my abilities for the longest time. I have been told on too many times to count, that I am not good at public speaking, I am not good at writing and sharing my ideas. You see I have been told I am just a pretty face. I began to hide my truth. I hid my light and my abilities.

I had to become honest to myself as to why I did this. I had to look with great honesty and intention at myself and what I am offering.

What gift and talent are you hiding from us?

For the longest part of my life I was an invisible. A pretty face with not much of an opinion. I had to become honest of who I am and my unique gifts and talents.

One of the most valuable teachings I ever received, was from my first coach. She taught me about awareness. Once you become aware of your thoughts and feelings, the past, the present and the possibilities of the future, you can become intentional to take aligned action with your purpose and passion.

A life audit is one of the most rewarding experiences you can give yourself. This allows you to stop with the frantic life and take a moment to feel where you are. To celebrate your life, to mourn for your losses, to be excited about what is coming.

When you don’t take the time to do a life audit you just stumble for one life stage to the next.

Doing a life audit is useful. You will make a conscious effort to look at every aspect of your life. This will help you to think about your growth plan and the life you want to create. It will help you to understand what you need to let go off.

A life audit will help you to navigate through the confusion and chaos with a simple reminder to take time to get to know yourself and realize your dreams. You can appreciate the world around you.

According to the website,, you can do a life audit on the following areas of your life:

  • how you spend your time
  • your productivity
  • your effectiveness
  • your skills
  • your education
  • your health
  • your finances
  • your fitness level
  • your habits
  • your character
  • your relationships
  • your living conditions
  • your creativity
  • how happy you are
  • your energy levels
  • your career
  • your spiritual life
  • your leisure time
  • achieving mayor life goals
  • how much fun you are having

Now it is time to design your ideal life with the following steps:

1. Decide which areas you are going to audit

It isn’t necessary to audit every aspect of your life. Have a look at the above list and decide on five areas which you want to audit. Become honest and real about these areas. Make the decision to be curious about who you are and why these areas are in need of help.

This process doesn’t need to be rushed. Take the time you need to delve deep and create a sense of understanding.

2. Ask yourself a series of questions

Remember you want to become more curious about your life, your gifts and your talents. First, ask yourself easier questions. Questions of which you know the answers of by heart.

Then you can begin to delve deeper, with greater curiosity. Ask yourself questions like, what is the meaning of my name? What is my story? How did I get to this point?

Ask yourself the question “why?” all the time. When you ask why, you cannot give a yes or no answer, you need to think and delve into the answer.

3. Determine where you are

When you have done number 2, you will have a clearer understanding of where you are and how you ended up in the space where you are.

4. Determine where you want to be

This is the time when you can dream about your life. Here you can imagine and envision how you want to look, where you want to stay, what kind of person you want to be. You can dream about your perfect career. You can dream about your relationships. The slate is clean and the dreams are big. Don’t limit yourself.

5. Create an action plan for getting where you want to be

Now that you know where you are and have the dream of where you want to go, you need to create an action plan, a strategy. This plan should be written down and dated so that you can track where you are and where you are heading.

Show up for your dream life with consistent and aligned action.

I am still on this journey of discovering my truest light and truth. One can never be done with this journey.
